Alpacas in the Pines

Alpacas in the Pines

National Alpaca Farm Day

Last month, our farm was brimming with activity as we hosted Alpacas in the Pines and Trunk Show. The Autumn weather was perfect, and the Fall colors were starting to display the beauty of the Scenic Highway as our guests made their way to meet the Fleet.

Our guests were greeted by alpacas and sheep as we began our demonstrations. Among the demonstrations were:

  • Rigid Heddle Weaving
  • Spinning on a wheel and drop spindle.
  • A quick tour of the garden

Many tried their hands at the loom and wheel while the alpacas hummed nearby.

The Little Things Matter

Three of our youngest fiber fleet members. Clover and Buffalo are Spring lambs born on St. Patrick’s Day. Aurora is the daughter of Diamond’s Jubilee and expecting a sibling next Fall.

Sharing is Caring

Our guests gather under the pines for some fiber talk.
